Build Ohio has become an event for recognizing the efforts of contractors, AGC of Ohio and individuals. This year, the association presented its second Pinnacle Award for Lifetime Achievement to Vince Corrado, CEO of Shook Construction. President of AGC of Ohio in 1992, Corrado joins former AGC of Ohio President (1996) Bob Moyer of Mosser Construction, Inc., who received the first ever Pinnacle Award in 2006.
The Pinnacle Award was created to distinguish those that remain active in AGC of
Ohio long after serving in a direct leadership role. It honors people that put self-serving
interests aside and work with the association to benefit the industry as a whole,
an individual who epitomizes the AGC of Ohio tenets of skill, responsibility and
integrity.
Many AGC of Ohio past Presidents attending this year’s Build Ohio presented AGC
of Ohio Executive Vice President Rich Hobbs an award for his tireless efforts for
the past 20 years on construction reform in Ohio.
Hobbs successfully worked with
Governor Kasich and the General Assembly to turn the Ohio Construction Reform Panel’s
recommendations into law. Construction reform has long been a professional goal for
Hobbs, and his effort on reform during the past three years, across two governors,
has been steadfast and remarkable.
